Unlocking new possibilities in global health through comprehensive research and development
Landcent is spearheading new avenues in global health by dedicating extensive resources to research and development, aiming to forge effective treatments for malaria and diseases linked to poverty.
Landcent's Collaborative Research Framework
At Landcent, we are elevating the scope of our research and focusing on strategic and applied approaches that address poverty-associated diseases. By integrating current trends in natural active ingredients, we are at the forefront of developing innovative solutions. Our collaboration with the China Academy of Sciences, a leading national scientific think tank, enables us to leverage their vast network of over 60,000 researchers and 114 institutes. This partnership also ensures that we remain aligned with the latest scientific advancements and technological innovations, essential for our mission to combat global health challenges.
Our research endeavors are further strengthened through our partnership with the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, which enhances our capabilities in conducting cutting-edge research. The dedication and expertise of our R&D team are central to our innovative product development efforts, particularly in our ongoing fight against malaria.
One of the core objectives of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is the global eradication of malaria and the management of infectious diseases among marginalized populations. Landcent collaborates as a research and development partner with the foundation on this initiative, contributing significantly to critical health goals.
A unique Landcent initiative to combat the threat of insecticidal resistance and safeguard biodiversity and habitats. Landcent’s Active Ingredient (AI) Discovery Platform investigates without judgement and bias, natural and indigenous knowledge bases, for active ingredients to be eventually developed into biopesticides. Biopesticides constitute naturally occurring organisms or substances derived from them that have lifespan-shortening effects on disease vectors such as mosquitoes.
Landcent is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to combat malaria by exploring novel Active Ingredients (AIs) sourced from nature. These natural AIs are less toxic, biodegradable, and reduce the likelihood of resistance in non-target organisms. Leveraging our exclusive access to the world's largest natural compounds database at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), our highly experienced team of 30 members has screened over 200,000 compounds in just two years. Currently, 21 of these compounds are in advanced phase trials, promising safer and more effective biopesticide solutions.
